Favorite Shops: Teka & Zoe

Teka and Zoe is another shop that I added to my favorites like a year ago and keep returning to lurk about.  This shop features metal and enamel jewelry.  What absolutely draws me to the shop so often is the amazing color of the enamels used on the jewelry.  Before seeing this shop I was totally ignorant of enameled jewelry and how it's created [and how beautiful it is!]. Wikipedia definition:

"Vitreous enamel, usually just called enamel...is a material made by fusing powdered glass to a substrate by firing, usually between 750 and 850 °C (1380 and 1560 °F). The powder melts, flows, and then hardens to a smooth, durable vitreous coating on metal."

The colors that this shop owner produces are gorgeous.  Also, not only is the color of the jewelry amazing, the actual design of the jewelry itself is just lovely.  The inspiration for the pieces seem to draw from nature, as many of the jewelry designs feature flowers, leaves, and an animal here and there.

Honestly, I could close my eyes and randomly pick something out of this shop to buy, and I know I'd love it.  The items are that wonderful. I strongly urge you to go to the store, and search "blue".  You will be amazed. :)
